Breaking Down the Abstract

An abstract can be broken down into these 6 logical steps:

Basic Introduction: This is the general statement and who this paper is intended for. Readers should know the terms used.

Background: Here is more background and additional information

Problem Statement: This is where the problem is stated. There is a gap in knowledge, research, or something that the authors found out.

Research Goal and the type of research: Here the abstract states how the research will further carry out experiments. Also the results will be mentioned.

Implications: What do the results mean to the readers, and who will be impacted.

Contributions and Future Impact: How can this research work in the future and what can be some useful outcomes of the work.
